Valparai is a hill station, all bounded by mountains, pastures, gorges, waterfalls and grasslands, lies in the district of Coimbatore, one of the prominent city of Tamil Nadu. It is stationed at an altitude of 3,500 ft above sea level on the Anaimalai Hills range of the Western Ghats, which lies at a drive of 100 km from Coimbatore and 65 km from Pollachi.


Valparai receives a sporadic brightness from the light house of the Manchester of India. The path leading to the hill station holds 40 hairpin bends from Azhiyar. The area is all covered with the tea estates to the extent of the horizon. On your visit to Valparai, you will encounter the splashes of waterfalls and streams. The gushing water in the streams soothes one’s eyes and is a commonly frequented place among the sunbathers.


Valparai renders an incredible view natural panorama, erecting majestically with the lush green woods all around. Sholayar Dam in Valparai is a fabulous attraction and is worth watching. Other important places to visit around Valparai are Balaji temple, Puncha Mugha Vinayagar Koil and stretched tea estates.
