Vagamon

Vagamon also spelt as Wagamon, this exciting hill Station is situated at a distance of 64 km from Kottayam and 34 km drive from Pala. The hill station stands at an altitude of 1100 meters above sea level.

The place is encircled with tea gardens, deep gorges, sloppy mountains with striking cascades and gorgeous lakes all along the shoreline. You can witness the nature at its best with the green pastures; velvet lawns and the cool mountain breezes making Vagamon an idyllic holiday destination. The place incorporates a chain of three hills – Thangal Hill, Murugan Hill and Kurisumala making it worth visiting.

Wagamon Hill Station has so much to offer to its tourists, as it is a perfect place to relax, rejuvenate and roam around. It is an ideal place for trekking and rock climbing and also there is the prominent Kurisumala Ashram, which is positioned in the heart of the Sahyadri Mountains and possesses the main cattle breeding and dairy farm in Kerala. The Live Stock Board is also to be found here. The place is also known for its meditation center, where people spend hours together on the hilltop having their spiritual activities.
