Being the city of the south eastern state of Andhra Pradesh and lying on an altitude of 161 m above the sea level, the city bears sub tropical kind of climate. Here, summers starts from the month of March and remains on the front stage till the month of June. Summers are very hot and humid; and the city gets a relief on the arrival of the monsoon which ends up by the month of October. Winters here starts with the month of November and remains on the scene till February. The best time to visit the place is from November till February as the state experiences cool and pleasant climate during this period.
