Thirumalai Nayakar Mahal is the beautiful palace in Tamil Nadu state of India built by King Thirumalai Nayak, a king of Madurai’s Nayaka dynasty who ruled the city from 1623–59. The palace is built is a classic fusion of Dravidian, Islamic styles. The monument was considered to be one of the wonders of the South. The original palace was four times bigger than the present one. The present building is the one where the King used to live. Thirumalai Nayakar Mahal is situated 2 km south east of the Meenakshi Amman Temple. Tourist must visit the palace to see the cultural richness of India. Thirumalai Nayakar Mahal travel and tourism provides the excellent means of exploring the monument.


The marvel is built in Indo Saracenic architectural style. The massive 20 meters in height white pillars connected by well decorated arches is on eof the striking features of the palace. Tourist will be amazed to see the immense beautiful sections of the palace including the entrance Gate, the Main Hall, the Dance Hall and polished black stone pillars of varying heights. Other than this, there is sound and light show which is organized everyday at palace in English at 6.45 pm and in Tamil at 8.15 pm. The monument remains open for the visitors from 9.00 am and 1.00 pm and 2.00 pm and 5.00 pm.
