The district of Shahjahanpur is positioned in the south eastern side of Rohilkhand Division. The town was instituted in 1813 by the British Government. Shahjahanpur is a municipal board, town and district headquarters of Shahjahanpur District, which lies in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.
