Rashtrapati Bhavan, the official house of the president of India is amazing Indian monument. It is the vast mansion, located in the west end of Parliament Street in New Delhi, the capital of India. Built in a Mughal and European architectural styles, this presidential palace has a cooper dome and around 340 bedecked rooms. The magnificent architecture of Rashtrapati Bhavan was designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens, a British architect, along with Chief architect, Chief Engineer Hugh Keeling and many Indian contractors. In fact it is one of the best structures built by Lutyens. An interesting fact about the palace is that, it was estimated to build the Rashtrapati Bhavan in four years, but it took long time of seventeen years in getting the complete look of the palace. One of the major attractions at the palace is the Mughal garden which is open for public between February and March. This beautiful garden has flowers and shrubs, along with various decorative fountains that make it all more fascinating for the tourists. The palace was once the residence of the Viceroy of British India and was popularly known as Viceregal Lodge.


Another exciting feature of the palace is the Durbar Hall which is the chief venue for all the official ceremonies of the Government of India.
