Qutab Minar

Built in 1193 by Qutab-ud-din Aibak, Qutab Minar is one of the famous historical monuments situated in the capital of India, New Delhi. This 73 meters high tower is the symbol of victory of the Qutab-ud-din Aibak, who built this monument immediately after the defeat of Delhi’s last Hindu kingdom. The monument has got five different storeys, out of which three are made up of red sandstone and forth and fifth with marble and sandstone. Each storey in the monument was constructed in the different era by different ruler. It was the first ever monument which was built by a Muslim ruler in India. It is constructed in an Indo-Islamic style and looks superb. The major attractions at the monument include the tomb of Iltutmish, a mosque called Quwwat-ul-Islam and Alai Minar etc. Qutub minar travel and tourism offers great experience of travelling to this wonderful place.


One of the masterpieces from our history, this Mughal minaret is visited by large number of tourists everyday from all over the world. The monument I open for tourist from 6am to 6pm. The entry ticket to Qutab Minar is Rs. 10 for Indians and Rs. 250 for foreigners. Photography is also allowed at the monument with any charge.
