The oldest town of the state Arunachal Pradesh, Pasighat is also the headquarters of the district of East Siang, which lies in the north eastern Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh. The town is erested at an elevation of about 155 m and renders a truly magnificent view of the natural beauty.


Founded by the British Administrators in 1911 AD, it acted as the gateway to the administrative convenience of the greater Abor Hills and northern area.


It used to be the primary settlement area for the Pasi and Minyong communities who still are there in the villages around the town of Pasighat. In the year 2011, January only, the town of Pasighat completed 100 years of its existence. Located on 28 degree north latitude and 95 degree east longitude, Pasighat is also known as the gateway to the state of Arunachal Pradesh because of its strategic situation.Pasighat travel and tourism is a popular among the Indian and foreign tourists alike and for that the Pasighat tour packages are a perfect way of exploring the splendor of the destination in North-Eastern India.
