Mysore painting is one of the traditional Indian paintings with the south Indian beauty originated from the city of Mysore in the state Karnataka, India. Known for their immense details, elegance and beautifully illustrated colors. The themes for most of the Mysore paintings are Hindu of god and goddesses or the historic scenes from Hindu Mythology. Gesso is a paste made with the blend of gambose, white lead powder and glue.
