Established in 1977, Mizoram state museum is an important tourist place to visit in Mizoram state of India. The museum is provided with separate galleried for the different tribes of Mizoram. Located on Macdonald Hill, Mizoram State Museum is situated in Aizwal, Mizoram. The museum is known for the dusty collection of wildlife specimens and tribal weapons. It also provides the opportunity to have the glimpse of impressive culture of this place. One can learn about Mizo tradition, culture and history at the museum.


Mizoram State Museum houses some of the beautiful items that showcase the great cultural heritage of Mizoram state. There are about 2500 items displayed in the museum that reflects the rich past and the ethnic background of Mizoram. Some of these items can be categorized as
