Marwar Festival is an important festival celebrated in the city of Jodhpur lies under the Marwar region in Rajasthan state of India. The festival is organized in the month of Ashwin which is September – October. The Mewar festival starts on the day of Sharad poornima or full moon day and lasts for 2 days.
The festival through its various ways showcases the splendid art and culture of Rajasthan. The event also salutes the Rajput heroes of the region who fought for their people with immense bravery. Apart from that, various forms of folk and Rajasthani dances are also performed at the festival. The various interesting aspects of the region are displayed at the festival. Also, some musical events are organized with the musician singing passionate songs for the Rajputs heroes. Various dancer4s are called performing incredible acrobatics. An art exhibition is also organized for the local artisans during the festival.
The Marwar festival shows the magnificent tradition of the region and the eye catching dance performances by the skilled dancers. There are various other historic and cultural events that can grab tourists attention at once such as camel tattoo show, horse riding and horse polo. Also the stalls called ‘Haats’ are also there showcasing the interesting creations of the craftsmen of the region. Nothing can be much better than the festival with so many things.
