Tourist sightseeing in Mandi Mandi District has more than 81 old stone temples, having different types of stone carvings. The nearby villages, such as the Kotli, Bhiuli, Khaliar and Manyana, are known for ancient Hindu temples and lakes.
The place has rich heritage with its numerous time-honored temples having different types of stone carvings on them. The city has a famous peak called Shikari Peak having Shikari Devi temple and the Shikari Devi Sanctuary. Some of the well-known Buddhist monasteries in the district are the Drikung Kagyu Gompa, Rewalsar Monastery, Tashijong Gompa, Bir Monastery and Tso-Pema Ogyen Heru-kai Nyingmapa Gompa. Climate of Mandi Mandi bears a warm yet pleasant weather during its summers during the months from April to June. Winters are really cold taking its temperature to the freezing point. The best time to have an excursion to Mandi is in the months of March till October.
