Also known as Pong Dam, Maharana Pratap Sagar is a perfect tourist destination which is located at a distance of 20 Kms from Chintpurni, Kangra district, Himachal Pradesh state, India. It was built in 1975; Maharana Pratap Sagar is one of the major tourist attractions of the region. Located at the Beas River, the pong dam is categorized at one of the highest dam in the country, which is 2km long. The greenery around the place is created with the woodlands of Acacia, Jamun, Shisham, Mango, Mulberry, Ficus, Amla and Prunus.
