Dedicated to the dual goddesses Lakshmi & Saraswati, the temple is located in Ratanpur and is one of the 52 Shakti Peethas. The temple was built in 12-13th century under the rule of Kalchuri King Ratnadev I, founder of Haihaiyavansi Kingdom. There are also the temples of Lord Shiva and Hanuman in the campus of the Mahamaya temple. The Mahamaya temple is built in Nagara style of architecture and looks very beautiful.
