The unique and an amazing mix of folk art, Madhubani painting was traditionally done by the women in villages on freshly plastered mud wall of huts. But now it is also done on clothes, hand- made paper and canvas.


Madhubani painting is an amazing art done with fingers, twigs, brushes, nib-pens, and matchsticks, using natural dyes and pigments and is recognized through the eye-catching geometrical patterns. Provided with multi colors, Madhubani wall paintings include the pictures of Ram-Sita, Shiva Parvati and depictions from daily life. Some of beautifully carved objects in these paintings include fish, jackfruit, trees of fruits such as mango and pomegranate and birds like peacock.
