Lavasa

Lavasa

Lavasa is a clandestine and designed city, which falls in the lap of the Indian state of Maharashtra. Lavasa nestles in the actual traditional western hill and is in a close proximity to the two main metropolises, Mumbai as well as Pune. This city stands as the first hill city, since independence.

Lavasa Corporation Limited (LCL) has brought out the proposal of forming this city in response to the Special Regulations for Hill Station Development as has been declared by the Government of Maharashtra in 1996.  This city welcomes all sections of society with its open arms. Heading just at a drive of 50 km from Pune and 180 km from Mumbai, the city renders a panoramic view.

The hill city of Lavasa is sprawled over about 25,000 acres of territory in the state of Maharashtra. The project of this organized city will be accomplished and completed in the year 2021, which has been divided into four phases. The proposed infrastructure of the city includes research centers, Hospitality and tourism, Education, resident population, health care, Space world theme park, Golf academy, Football academy, Hockey academy and many other things. The hill station has a substantial Learning Strategy addressing 1 / 2 of region and is constructed encircling the 20 km drawn out Warasgaon River.

There are five ease of access paths in order to reach the hill city of Lavasa. However, this project of Lavasa is associated with the controversies and the dirty politics.  No matter, for the tourists it falls in the category of some of the unexplored hill stations swamped with natural and panoramic beauty, attracting the people for its peace and innocence.
