Located in the district of Rajsamand in the state of Rajasthan, Kumbhalgarh is one of the beautiful forts of India. Lies in the southern part of Rajasthan, Kumbhalgarh is also known as Kumbhalmer. It is constructed on a hilltop which is 1100 meters high. It is one of the most popular forts in Mewar after Chittaurgarh. Located in the Aravalli range which is 64 kms away from Udaipur, the fort was built in 15th century by Rana Kumbh. The fort is known for the famous structure or the palace known as the Badal Mahal or the palace of the clouds. The cloud palace offers a great panoramic view of the surrounding town to this fort. Apart from that, it is the birth place of Mewar’s Legendry King, Maharana Pratap. The large complex of the fort offers the great pleasure of exploring its incredible architectural aspects.


September to March is the ideal time for traveling to this fort. Kumbhalgarh Fort travel and tourism provides an interesting way of travelling to this wonderful place. Chittaurgarh Fort, Haldighati, Ranakpur, Sajjangarh and Ghanerao are the other tourist attractions nearby Kumbhalgarh fort. Lake Rajsamand is also a major tourist attraction around the palace.
