The Princess of Hill Stations, Kodaikanal is located in Dindugal District of Tamil Nadu. It is undoubtedly one of the most admired hill stations in the southern part of India. Stationed at the southern tip of the Palani Hills, Kodaikanal falls toward the northwest of Madurai at distance of 120 km. It is one of the most visited tourist destination rendering its visitors exciting boat rides, nature strolls, hiking, trekking and rock-climbing.

The dense forest holds various varieties of trees with the massive rocky terrain giving by which nature showcasing its wilderness along with enthralling waterfalls forming an authentic treat for the tourists visiting the town. Kodaikanal is also known for eucalyptus oil, homemade chocolates, plums and pears and the incredible  kurinji – flowers, which blossoms only once in twelve years.

The city also holds its international importance in the field of education as it has many renowned educational institutions like Kodaikanal International school, Kodaikanal Christian College etc. in and around Kodaikanal. Mother Theresa University, India’s only women’s university also lies here in Kodaikanal.

Tourists visiting Kodaikanal can indulge in various activities like cycling, horse riding, boating, trekking and many more adventurous activities. Kodaikanal is influenced with Christian culture and the sculptures in the churches of Kodaikanal are worth visiting.

The city has various attractions that soothe the eyes of the visitors including Berijam Lake,  Kodai Lake, Shenbaganur Museum, Coakers Walk, Berijam Lake, Dolphins nose, Boat Club, Telescope Houses, Silver Cascade, Pillar Rocks, Bryant Park, Kurinji Andavar Temple, Bear Shola Falls. Also, the green valley view is must-see view. The best time to visit the place in is the months from April till June.
