Kirti Stambha is a 22 meter high tower situated at Chittaurgarh Fort in Rajasthan state, India. The tower or the Stambha was built in 15th century by a Rana khumbha to commemorate his victory against Mahmud Khilji of Malwa. It is also known as “The Tower of Fame”. The great historical significance of the tower attracts large number of tourists from all over the world to visit the place. This 9-storyed tower is adorned by sculptures of Hindu deities around. There are around 157 narrow steps leading to the terrace where the balconies give a beautiful top angle view of the whole town. Being the Jain tower, full of the various Jain’s engravings and carvings, Kirti Stambha is largely visited by Jains. The tower is also engraved with the naked figures of various Tirthankars and Jain Pantheons, all in attractive Rajasthani architecture.
