The beautiful lake of Keetham renders a picturesque view and is situated just on the border of Agra on the Agra – Delhi highway, NH 2. The lake of Keetham is also acknowledged as Sur Sarovar. This serene lake is in a close proximity to the town of Sikandra as it is just a drive of 12 km from the town Sikandra and is an ideal spot for relaxation for the localities.


The lake is also an ideal spot for as it assembles a wide variety of fishes and water birds, adding grain to the glory with the natural hues and charm. The lake is just at a distance of 20 km from the city of Agra and is linked by Railway track of the Keetham Railway Station. The lake was declared as National Bird Sanctuary on 27 March 1991 by the U.P. Forest Department. The rivulet belt of the river Yamuna is flanked by the area of Sur Sarovar. The river outlines forming a shape of pentagon. This entire lake is formed in a catchment area of about 7.13 square kilometers.
