Albizia amara, Accacias, Lagerstroemia, Ficus and Bamboo are some of the important flora species at the sanctuary. Primarily an elephant reserve centre, Kaundinya wildlife sanctuary is home to 78 elephants. The vulnerable Yellow-throated Bulbul is also present in the sanctuary.
