Karna Lake (Uchana) is nestled in the district of Karnal the state of Haryana. According to the legends, the character Karna from the epic Mahabharata founded the city.  In addition, this state stands as the hometown of Indian born astronaut Kalpana Chawla.


The Karna Lake is situated at a distance of about 5 km north of Karnal on the Delhi-Amritsar highway. It is a serene place executing ravishing beauty of nature. The lake possesses a beautiful backdrop with having facilities like waterfronts, eating joints, wide-spaced lawns and of course boating. The lake is en-route to the beautiful valley of Kashmir and the revered shrine of Vaishno Devi.
