Located 20 kms from the town called Dharamshala on the outskirts of the Kangra, in Himachal Pradesh state of India, Kangra Fort is the largest Fort in Himalayas. Mentioned in the war records of Alexander, around 4th century B.C, it is also one of the oldest forts in India. The Beautiful view of gushing streams of Banganga and Manjhi rivers is the major attraction of the Fort. Also known as the Nagarkot, the tourist here has to climb the through seven gates to reach the three temples located inside. Build at the confluence of two rivers Banganga and Manjhi, the fort stands on steep rock in purana Kangra. The fort ruled by many Mughal emperors, is said to belong the one who own it.
