The beach of Junput is definitely a perfect place for the nature lovers. Indeed it is a paradise for it offers a laid back ambience, under the roof of the bright sun. The place gives an opportunity to laze around and relax at the resort and spend some time alone in solitude.


The beach is just at a distance of 40 km from Digha, which is the most popular beach resort in the state. The beach offers a delightful sight of the sea which is infringed by lined casurina groves. This virgin beach also stands as the place for the brackish water fish Cultivation and Research, which is done here in the place by the State Government Fisheries Department and today there is ‘Brackish water fish Cultivation and Research Centre’, which stands in the region.


The centre is built for the studies in marine biology as it is the centre for the sea-fish research and shark oil extraction, in the area. Junput also hosts a farm for breeding ducks. The fir trees are also lined up in the fringes of the coast giving it a wonderful appearance. The beach is truly a deserted and serene place, making it an excellent spot for picnic.
