Feroz Shah Kotla is the famous citadel of Firozabad, the fifth city of Delhi, India. It is situated near the most famous Feroz Shah Kotla cricket stadium off Bahadur shah Zafar marg. The emperor Firoz Shah Tughlaq built the city of Ferozabad with its citadel in 1354. Feroz Shah Kotla was then popularly known as Kushk-I-Feroz, which meant Feroz’s palace and it was designed by Malik Ghazi and Abdul Hakk. The monument is comprises of three rubble-built walled rectangular enclosures, out of which the central one is the largest and is presently called as ‘Kotla Feroz Shah’. One can only find the ruins of the northern and southern enclosures amidst the modern constructions.


Today, the place of the monument is converted into a beautiful garden and only the ruins of the construction are available. However, the ruins of this architectural monument are enough to attract large number of tourist from all over the world to this place. This monument is definitely a great place to visit for tourist.
