Fairy queen is the Oldest Rolling locomotive Train of World. The train offers one of the most amazing experiences of travelling in India. The train was introduced in 1855 and was operated till 1908. After that, due to its technical reasons its operation was halted. The Fairy queen restarted its operation in July 1997 with a new look of heritage train from Delhi to Alwar for a short 2days trip.
The train offer luxurious treatment along with the best of the food and stay facilities. The train leaves Delhi Cantonment Railway station on every 2nd and 4th Saturday of the months of October to March. The train departs from Delhi at 9 am and reaches Alwar at 3 pm. The train returns from Alwar the following day at 1pm and reaches back to Delhi at 6.45pm. The train also provides excitement of traveling to Sariska tiger reserve.
Fairy queen is a two coach train is lured with only one ac coach having up to 60 seats. The lounge in the front of the passenger coach is also commendable features of this luxurious train. The large windows of the train offer beautiful view of Rajasthan on its way to Alwar.

In July1997, Railway restarted its operation with new look of Heritage Train from Delhi to Alwar for a Short Route Only with Trip of world famous Sariksa Wildlife Sanctuary by a Luxury Coach.
