Easter is the famous Christian festival celebrated as the resurrection of the Lord, Jesus Christ.

Lent begins on Ash Wednesday and ends on Easter Sunday. Eastern Orthodox churches observe Lent for the long period of 6 weeks or 40 days. The whole Easter season is observed with complete fasting. The Easter day by many Christians refer the holy day as Resurrection day.
