Dogra art museum in Jammu &Kashmir state of India is an art gallery situated in the Mubarak Mandi Complex. Located in the pink hall, the museum displays over 800 rare paintings and historical articles. There are separate galleries that houses paintings from Basholi, Kangra and Jammu. One of the major attractions at the museum is the gold plated bow and arrow of Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan along with his carpentry tools. Besides these, there are various hands written manuscripts of Shahnama and Sikandernama in Persian that draw large attention of history lovers to the museum.


There are some of the beautiful galleries in the museum displayed with some unique Dogra artifacts. The wide collection of painting and other items provides you the glimpse of the rich heritage of the Dogra Kings. Art lovers will be thrilled to see the amazing Dogra portraits at the museum. The place is worth visiting for the people who are interested in knowing the history and lifestyle of Dogra kings.


The museum remains open on all days except on Mondays. The place can be visited from 10.30 a.m. – 04.30 p.m. in winter and from 08.00 a.m. – 01.30 p.m. in summers.
