Bolgatty Palace is a popular tourist destination which is located on the Bolghatty Island in Kochi, Kerala. The beautiful palace was built by Dutch traders in 1744 and is provided with the rich and beautiful garden outside it. The building of the palace was once been the Governor’s palace for the commander of Dutch Malabar and later in 1909 was leased to the British. From then till the end of Britishers rule in India, the palace serves to the home for various British governors. Once being the royal palace for Britishers is now converted into a good hotel.
