Built by Sultan Alla-Ud-Din Bahman of the Bahmani Dynasty, Bidar Fort is one of the famous tourist Hotspots in Karnataka. Beauticully equipped in Persian architecture, the Fort is layout in the length and breadth of 1.21 km and 0.80 km respectively. Apart from that, the fort is surrounded by three miles long walls and, comprising of 37 bastions. It also has five entrances or Darwazas. Moving ahead, Inside the Fort, there is an old city with some beautiful monuments and that belong to the Bahamian era. Gagan Mahal, Rangin Mahal and Takhat Mahal are the most popular Monuments that reside inside the Fort. Along with that, Masjid and Solah Khamba Masjid are the two impressively built forts inside the fort.
One of the famous bollywood movies, The Dirty Picture has a song called “Ishq Sufiyana” which is also shot at the fort. Bidar Fort is well connected with air, rail and road networks. Bidar Fort travel and tourism provides the best way of travelling to this wonderful place. The Fort falls in a district which is also named as Bidar. Having the salubrious climate throughout the year, the BIDAR Fort is best to be visited in the months between October and March.
