Bhandardara, nestled in the lap of Sahyadri Hills is a holiday getaway destination lying on the western coast of India. This village is positioned in the district of Ahmednagar in the Indian state of Maharashtra and is at a distance of about 185 kilometers from Mumbai.


Bhandardara takes a seat next to the Pravara River and is a blend of natural exquisiteness, cascades and mountains all incorporated with tranquility, greenery, invigorating air and pristine ambiance. The Bhandardara Lake and the Randha falls are its main tourist attractions.


A visit to Bhandardara will render you an incredible experience with the soaring mountains, roaring cascades and lush green foliage all across the year, attracting tourists from all across the globe. This small town will take you to on a completely different journey with its long narrow roads, which blockades through the lofty mountains and soaring towards the marvelous retreat.  This one hour journey will take you to the other world with its spectacular sights.


The sights are spectacular with its fluorescent green paddy fields contrasting with dazzling sapphire heavens above and the misty brown brooks which draw the zigzag lines on the field. When it rains, and clouds seem like moving down from the sky to cover the ground, the complete view is just out of this world!


Bhandardara has loads of attractions to experience as from majestic Wilson Dam to wondrous Arthur Lake. It is believed that Shri Agasti Rishi meditated here for a year and pleased with his devotion and dedication God stepped in on the land and blessed Shri Agasti Rishi with a stream of the Ganga River, which is now known as the Pravara River. Other excursions from here are Ratangad and Harishchandragad fort.


The place is situated in the interiors of the state of Maharashtra it experiences sea changes in the climatic conditions. As here, summers are really hot and winters are quite cold. There are many more places to visit in the region such as Wilson Dam, Randha Falls, Mount Kalsubai, Agasti Rishi Ashram, Ratangadh, Amriteshwar.
