The beach, Bangaram stands as the Jewel of the Lakshadweep is otherwise an inhibited isle with the exception of the occasional visitors from the nearby island, Agatti, which serves as a land for the main airport of the place.
Bangaram renders a breathtaking sight of scintillating coral reefs, turquoise blue waters and white coral sands infringed with green coconut palms. The island simply gives you options like lazing on the silver beaches, soaking in the sun, listening to the sound of the waves and watching the swaying of the palms.
Bangaram Island is enveloped with pure white sands and a view of the moon slipping underneath the lagoon horizon is worth watching. This is one of the best places for the adventure seekers and the nature lovers as it offers water sports activities like diving, snorkeling, sailing and deep-sea fishing.
The pure waters of the islands, untouched coral reefs and moderate temperature make the island a diver’s dream destination. The best time for diving is from October to May. During the monsoon, the place receives heavy showers making it almost impossible for the sport activities to be carried out.
There are regular flights to Agatti Island from Kochi. Luggage up to 10 kg is permitted. From Agatti, there is one and half hour boat journey to Bangaram. You can also sail the boat all the way from Kochi to Kadmat Island.
