Dharamshala encompasses two different parts. The lower Dharamshala is the hub of various hospitals, government offices and other community centers. There are no such tourist places to visit in this part of the town, except for the Dharamshala bus station where tourists arrive. The other part of Dharamshala, the upper part possesses the beauty village town called McLeod Ganj which is the major tourist destination and is also the home of Tibetans. The place renders breath-taking sights of the valley, the serene weather and amazingly beautiful panoramas. McLeod Ganj is a small place and can be travelled easily on foot. There are many more sightseeing locations in Dharamshala.
