Located 30 kms away towards the south of the marina beach, Anna square is an important memorial in Tamil Nadu state of India, dedicated to Arinzar Annadurai, the great leader of Dravidian movement. Adjacent to the memorial of Arinzar Annadurai is the other memorial of Dr. M.G. Ramachandran. They both were the pioneering leaders of the Puractchi Thalaivar MGR. The memorial is located in the centre of a lavishly laid out park. The entrance of the park is marked by an arch that looks like converging tusks of an elephant. The park of Anna Square is spread in an area of 510 hectares. The small tomb at Anna Square has a pillar like structure with an eternal flame. Apart from the memorial the park also features a small safari park, a nocturnal animal house, an aquarium and a museum. The large number of tourists visits the memorial while travelling in Tamil Nadu. Anna Square travel and tourism offers the best way of travelling to this place.
