Amboli a popular hill station in Maharashtra is engulfed with serenity and tranquility. Amboli is snuggled closely in the south ranges of the Sahyadri hills at altitude of 690 m, in the district of Sindhudurg of Maharashtra. This happens to be the last mountain resort prior to reconciliation of the coastal highlands, with a sigh, to form flat beaches. On its one side this beautiful hill station is garlanded with the golden Konkan coast and on the other three sides, it is flanked by several exquisite valleys.

Yet, making winters its best time to visit it as in this season the hills are swamped with panoramic beauty with the gushing waterfalls down the hills.


Amboli is an ideal destination for comforting and go astray into the misty mountains. The other excursions in the region are Hiranya Keshi, Nagatta Falls, Mahadev and Narayan Gad, Shirgaonkar, Sea view Point and the Bauxite Mines.


You can hire taxis, rickshaws and even horses are available for site seeing. The nearest railway station is at Sawantwadi at a distance of 28km and airport at Belgaum which is 64 km from Amboli. The road takes a drive of 549 km to reach Amboli from Mumbai.
