Located within the City Palace complex in Jaipur, Maharaja Sawai Singh museum is an amazing place to visit for tourists in Rajasthan state, India. The museum is exhibited with the extensive collection of the belonging of the royal family for many generations in the state. The place was once only visited by some of the prime members but in 1959 it was all opened for public. The rich culture and heritage of Jaipur and other beautiful cities of Rajasthan are all preserved in the museum with the help of the antiques displayed here belonging to the kings and rules of the state. There is a gallery in museum representing the royal garments including the one which belongs to Maharaja Sawai Man Singh II. Apart from that, coins, lethal weapons and heavily engraved daggers, jewellery, miniature scriptures and huge silver vessels are the exhibits at the museum.
On the other hand, built in a very impressive manner, the museum in itself showcases a great example of Islamic, Rajput and European architecture. There are many amazing things you will get to see and explore at the museum. Maharaja Sawai Singh museum remains open from Tuesday to Sunday from 09.30 am to 5.00 pm. The entry fee to this museum is Rs 35 for adults and Rs. 20 for children. Children below 5 are allowed to visit the museum without any entrance fee.
