Naval marine museum, also, known as Samudrika museum is one of the major tourist destinations at Andaman and Nicobar Islands in India. The place is administered under the navy and is a great place to explore the fascinating marine life. Located on the opposite side of Andaman Teal House in Delanipur, the naval marine museum is displayed with some of the incredible items that provide important information to the tourists about the geography and history of the Andaman Islands. The items displayed at the museum can be categorized in 5 divisions including the history of Andaman, the geography of these islands, people, archeology and their marine life. There is a huge map of these islands at the naval Marine museum which attracts the large number of tourists to visit this place. The museum will also let you see the wide collection of shells, corals and other significant specimens of the marine life present in these islands.


The museum was established with the view to develop a general interest in the oceanic environment of the place. Tourists can visit to this museum from 8.30 am to 12 noon and again from 2 pm to 5 pm. It remains close on Mondays and on all national holidays. All you need to pay for visiting the museum is just a nominal price of Rs 10 to buy the ticket to go inside.
