Panhala dashes all predetermined philosophies and thinking of a traditional and quaint Indian hill station. The hill city is erected at an elevation of 3,177 ft above the sea level. Panhala is a panoramic hill city attracting plethora of people. It measures about boundary of 7 km and has a considerable distance of 18 km from the city of Kolhapur, making an easy access to Konkan.


This small city is a hill station of the Kolhapur district of Indian state of Maharashtra. Panhala Hills are stationed towards the South of the Indian state of Maharashtra, which is just at a distance of 20 km from the famous city Kolhapur.


The place is also an abode to some of the famous forts, having great historical importance and acquaintance with the Maratha Empire. The king of Maratha, Shivaji spent one and a half years of his life here in Panhala n the year 1659, when he conquered the province. It is a city of modesty and preference. Here you can expect your life heading towards a modest break and getaway, as it is a spot where you could actually laze around taking morning strolls go on the town in the brand new mountain ambience.

The luxuriant hills along with the terraced farms and the universal mist that is bestowed over the hills of Panhala renders it a unique magnetism and mystic. The airborne roots of the banyan trees are all spread on the road forming a beautiful portico and of course the introduction to the royal remains of the fort is of central importance.
