Built in 17th century, Leh palace is an amazing sightseeing location in the Himalayan city of Leh, India. The palace was built by the King Sengge Namgyal and is designed just like the Potala Palace in Lhasa, Tibet. It is an excellent example of the medieval Tibetan architecture. The palace is provided with nine storeys, out of which the upper floors are accommodated by the royal family of the king and lower floors are used as stables and store rooms. It is one of the highest palaces in the world. Today, there is has a museum with some painted or embroidered scrolls, paintings and various other interesting things that attracts travelers to this place. Leh Palace is now converted in an office for the Indian Government’s archaeological conservation organization.
