The three day Festival of Gardens is held in the city beautiful, Chandigarh. The festival is held annually in the last week of the month of February and is witnessed by a large population. This fun filled festival is celebrated with extravanganza and adds life to the hosting city of Chandigarh. The festival is more commonly known as the Rose Festival of Chandigarh.
The lawns are all decorated with the blossoming multi hued flowers, along with that this exhilarating carnival also holds some of the brilliant dance and music performances by the celebrity stars and folk artists at Leisure valley. Several activities and competitions are also organized for visitors which cater to the people of all genres.The flower show presents quite a large number of rose species from all across the world in the Rose Garden.
The festival of Gardens also include exhibitions by local artists, contests and competition such as flower arrangement, flower cutting etc for guests. There are some special events that are organized for the kids such as spot painting competition or the Rose Prince and Rose Princess competitions. Nonetheless, the photographers also get a way to capture the mesmerizing pictures of the natural blossoming beauty forever in their cameras. On the occasion various artisans and craftsmen also come ahead to showcase their talents, which in result renders them to earn some revenue as well.
