Patiala experiences extremely hot summers with moderate winters. This is the reason of being the city crowded by masses, especially in the months of October till march. Here, the monsoon begins by July and lasts till the first week of September.

By Air: The city has its own airport and daily flights run between Delhi- Amritsar and Delhi- Chandigarh. Further taxis can be hired to reach the destination in Patiala.
