The north eastern part of India has the town called Mokokchung lies in the state of Nagaland. The district has its administrative headquarters there only. It is the resident of Ao Naga tribe. The district along with Kohima and Dimapur is progressing in agricultural and industrializing areas. Changki-Longnak, Tsurang, Milak and Dikhu valley regions are the ones where agricultural activities are done. On the other hand, industrialization is best done in the regions of Tuli-Milak and Changki-Longnak valley.


The district of Mokokchung is the centre for all the political matters as it is the place of headquarters itself. The land of Aos is pleasant and celebrates two main festivals every year. One is the Moatsu which is celebrated in the first week of May and the other one is the Tsungrem which is celebrated in August month. With the Assam state in North and the wokha lying in the west also, the Tuensang to its east, and Zunheboto in south lays the district of Mokokchung.
