Nestled in the district of Shimla, Chaupal is dotted with the houses made of wood and slate. This small city is surrounded with deodar trees and is enveloped with snow-clad peaks, rendering the city as its backdrop. Actually, it is a town in Chaupal Mandal in the Shimla District of the Himachal Pradesh State. Chaupal is located at an altitude of 2328 m above sea level. The city is just at a distance of 45 kms from the main city of the state, Shimla. Blessed with its location, Chaupal enjoys a pleasant climate in summers with cool breezes. summers are pretty pleasant and it also experiences snowfall in winters. The best time to visit Kufri is during summer, between April and June. The place witnesses heavy snowfall during December-January.
