Marine beach is the famous tourist destination located in Chennai city, Tamil Nadu state, India. The beach runs for over the length of about 13 kms from Fort St. George in the north to Besant Nagar in the south. It is the longest urban beach in the country and second longest in the world. It is the most crowded beach of India, attracting more than 30000 tourists each day during weekends. Unlike other beach in the country having rocky formation around, marine is a complete sandy beach.
